Selling things on eBay is labour intensive and involves a lot of work if you want to do the job properly and achieve an acceptable final selling price for your goods. That's why so many people don't get round to selling on eBay. Our commission is very reasonable considering the amount of work we have to do and the results we achieve.
Our commission for the sale of general goods is 42% on the first £500 of the Final Selling Price and 25% of any value over this amount. That includes all the relevant eBay and PayPal fees and VAT which between them amount to 15-20%. There are no hidden extras but there is a minimum commission of £10 per item.
For cars, motorbikes, boats, helicopters and other large items, we charge a £120 handling fee in advance (non-refundable) plus 10% commission on the Final Selling Price.
For full details of all our charges, please have a look in our Terms and Conditions shown below.
Terms and Conditions
This Agreement explains the terms under which Let Us Auction It Limited ("we") will auction your goods for you on eBay or other auction websites. This Agreement is between you (the "consignor") and Let Us Auction It Limited (the "consignee"). This is a legally binding agreement and you should therefore read it carefully before signing it or agreeing to the contents within it.
Description of our service :
We will normally only accept items for sale that have a value of at least £50. We will NOT accept items that are listed by eBay in their list of prohibited, questionable & infringing items. This list is available to view in the Help section of the eBay website at www.ebay.co.uk. This list includes ivory, live animals, weapons, knives and Nazi memorabilia, as well as many other items.
Once we have confirmed that your goods comply with the eBay rules and meet our own acceptability criteria, we will list your goods on eBay or other auction websites for a duration of between 5 and 10 days at our discretion and will include one or more pictures plus a detailed description of your goods. The Starting Price for items valued under £500 will be £0.99
and no Reserve Price will be imposed unless otherwise agreed in advance with us. Any item listed with a Reserve Price (minimum Reserve Price is £250) or a Starting Price higher than £0.99 will be categorised as a Premium Auction and attract a non-refundable handling fee of £20.00 plus 3% of the Reserve Price or increased Starting Price requested, payable in advance.
We will answer any questions from potential and actual bidders on your behalf and collect the Final Selling Price from the Winning Bidder. Please be aware that we have no control over the value Final Selling Price which may be less than the amount you could obtain for your goods through alternative means. Once payment is received, we will despatch your goods to the Winning Bidder(s)
or make them available for collection from our premises. Postage and packing charges are the responsibility of the Winning Bidder.
Under the UK Distance Selling Regulations, buyers have the right to return items to us within a period of 10 days after receipt of the goods. We call this the Return Period, and no funds can be released to you until this period has expired. If items are returned to us because the information you gave us about the item was incorrect or false, you may be liable to pay return postage costs.
It is therefore important that you make full and accurate disclosure to us about your items to prevent items being returned. Once the Return Period has expired and no goods have been returned to us, or no request to return goods has been made, we will transfer the Final Selling Price of your goods, less our Commission, to your nominated bank account or send you a cheque. Please be aware
that the entire process from dropping off your items at our office to you receiving funds from us could take up to 90 days in some cases.
In the event any of your items are not sold, we may offer them for auction for a further period of between 5 and 10 days at our discretion at no extra charge. For Premium Auctions we will consult you first before proceeding and, if you agree for the item to be re-listed, further charges may apply. In the event your items remain unsold after the second listing we will notify you and you must
collect these items from our premises within 7 days, unless you have agreed in advance for your unsold items to be donated to Charity. Items that are not collected within 7 days will be disposed of and you may incur disposal charges, depending on the nature of the items.
You hereby confirm that you are the Legal Owner of the goods you wish us to auction on your behalf.
